Business Development Manager DACH-Region (f/m/d)

Location flexible, preferably based in southern Germany, Austria or Switzerland

What can you expect?

  • Development and implementation of sales plans (effectively applying proven sales methods) to identify, qualify, pursue and close new development and business opportunities in the assigned region (existing customers and/or potential customers) to achieve sales and new business targets
  • Negotiate and implement appropriate and complex development and supply contracts
  • Present Aenova's capabilities in an informed and effective manner to clients and prepare specific, targeted solutions that meet the clients' manufacturing and development requirements
  • Support and prepare development and commercial proposals in close collaboration with operations and negotiate these proposals
  • Contribute to the pricing strategy for assigned clients
  • Negotiating bids for new development and commercial programs, assisting specific sites with business/commercial issues, and assisting the development and commercial groups with structuring proposals as programs move through various stages of development to commercialization

What should you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Administration or other related field
  • Advanced scientific degree and/or Master of Business Administration / commercially orientated degree is advantageous but not essential
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in B2B Sales, Business Development or Project Management (experience in the contract pharmaceutical industry preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of sterile and oral solid-dose manufacturing is a plus
  • Strong customer focus and results orientation
  • Strong fundamental business skills; ability to appropriately evaluate and structure value creating deals for the business with a good ability to negotiate those deals
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear German and English
