Your key responsibilities
Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth
Build and manage a supply operations organization based on processes and procedures from product sourcing to customer delivery
Create and implement inventory, demand and supply allocation strategies to optimize inventory placement, turns, sales and the overall customer experience through formalized S&OP
Develop plans and methods for completing purchasing, inventory and materials management to ensure that acquired goods meet cost and quality standards
Support and maintain the Corporate framework of new and existing vendors while maintaining high operational and quality standards
Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop / execute strategies to manage costs and ensure favorable partnerships
Lead the team in alignment with broader organizational goals and ensure delegates, work effectively and be a thought leader with respect to sourcing processes and policies
Assess departmental performance, identify weaknesses and implement operational changes to ensure the efficient flow of goods
Develop trends and forecasts based on objective data for use in operations and purchasing decisions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by working with management using lean methodologies to develop and implement new procedures to streamline processes and identify inventory discrepancies, including Sales and Operations Planning
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business management, etc or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Ten years plus experience in supply chain
Strong planning, operations and logistics background with a bias for delivering results in a dynamic environment through collaboration and creating healthy dialogue, also customer service exposure is strongly preferred
Three years plus experience in a leadership role
Previous work experience with ERP systems, SAP is necessary
Previous experience within the Pharmaceutical industry preferred, also regulated industries like food and chemical
APICS, Six Sigma, or other related certifications a plus
Proven ability to follow through with projects and meet commitments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate information in a clear, calm, and concise manner in both written and non-written forms, ideally native-speaking Italian with good English knowledge
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to think creatively and apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, driving issues to resolution
